Where the Global plan works
The Global plan is one profile across 169 destinations — every country and territory on this site apart from a short excluded list. Install once, keep it, and stop thinking about connectivity for the duration of the trip.
Plans run from $14 for 1 GB over 7 days to $106.50 for 20 GB over 30 days. A month-long multi-region trip realistically wants 10 GB ($64.50).
Be honest with yourself about whether you need it. For one country, buy the country plan — most are half the price or less. For two or three countries in one region, buy the regional plan: Europe from $7.50, Asia from $11.50, Africa from $14.50, Caribbean from $12.50. The Global plan earns its price on genuinely intercontinental routes and on trips where you don’t yet know where you’ll be — which is a real category, not a marketing one.
What’s excluded and why: Afghanistan, Iran, Yemen, Russia and Belarus. Sanctions and the absence of a workable roaming partner, not an oversight. Some have their own country pages where coverage is arranged differently.
What it can’t do: work at sea or in the air. Ship and aircraft connectivity comes from their own satellite networks, billed separately and expensively. Airplane mode until you land.
Coverage across 169 destinations ranges from dense 5G in the Gulf, East Asia and Western Europe to 4G/LTE in much of Africa, Central Asia and the Pacific. Each country page on this site says which to expect.

How to install it
- 1
Buy in a minute
Pick a Global plan and pay. Your QR code arrives by email in seconds — no account, no shipping.
- 2
Install on Wi-Fi
Scan the code before you fly. The profile sits alongside your normal SIM and stays switched off until you need it.
- 3
Land connected
Turn on data roaming for the TravelNet line when you arrive. The plan starts counting down on that first connection, not at checkout.
Will my phone work?
You need an eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked phone: an iPhone XS or newer, a Pixel 3 or
newer, or a recent Samsung Galaxy S, Z or A-series flagship. Dial *#06# — if
an EID number is listed alongside the IMEI, the phone has an eSIM.
Other regional plans
One profile, one allowance, no swapping SIMs at a border.
Global eSIM questions
Which countries does the Global plan cover?
169 destinations across every region on this site. The full list is above the plans. A handful of markets are excluded because there is no viable roaming partner or because sanctions prevent it — Afghanistan, Iran, Yemen, Russia and Belarus. Everywhere else on this site is included.
Is a Global plan actually worth it?
For most trips, no — and we'd rather say so. Two or three countries in one region is cheaper on a regional plan, and a single country is cheaper still. The Global plan makes sense when the itinerary is genuinely intercontinental (a round-the-world route, a multi-region work trip) or genuinely unknown, and the cost of guessing wrong is buying three more eSIMs on the road.
Which network will I be on?
A different partner network in each country, handing over automatically as you travel. There is no single operator behind a global plan and anyone who names one is simplifying.
Is 5G included?
Where the local partner network offers it and your handset supports it. Across 169 destinations the answer ranges from near-universal 5G (Gulf states, East Asia, Western Europe) to 4G/LTE only (much of Africa, Central Asia, the Pacific).
How much data do I need?
For a month-long multi-region trip, 10 GB ($64.50) is a realistic baseline with hotel Wi-Fi filling in. 20 GB ($106.50) if you're working as you travel. If you know most of the trip is in one region, buying that regional plan and topping up is almost always cheaper than the global equivalent.
Does the allowance follow me across every border?
Yes. One allowance on one profile, spent wherever you happen to be, with no per-country sub-allocation and nothing to activate.
Why are some countries excluded?
Sanctions and the absence of a workable roaming partner. Afghanistan, Iran, Yemen, Russia and Belarus are not in the global coverage list. Several of them do have their own country pages here, because coverage there is arranged differently.
Does it work on cruises or flights?
No. Maritime and in-flight connectivity is sold by the ship's or airline's own satellite network and billed separately at high rates. Keep data off in airplane mode until you're on land.
Can I tether?
Yes, everywhere the plan works.
Do I need to register it anywhere?
No. Countries that require ID registration for local SIMs — India, Turkey, Spain, Thailand, Kenya, South Africa and many others — don't apply that to roaming eSIMs. Nothing to fill in, anywhere on the list.
