Which network does the Australia eSIM use?
Telstra. It is one of Australia's main mobile networks, so coverage matches what local subscribers get rather than a thin roaming-only footprint.
Will I get 5G in Australia?
Yes, where Telstra has deployed it and your phone supports it. Outside those areas the eSIM falls back to 4G/LTE automatically — you won't need to change any setting.
How much data do I actually need for Australia?
Count on 100–200 MB a day if you're mostly using maps and messaging, and 1 GB an hour once video is involved. That puts a long weekend in Australia at 1–3 GB (from $5.50) and a two-week trip nearer 5–10 GB.
When does my Australia plan start counting down?
