Where the Europe plan works
The Europe plan is one eSIM profile across 47 destinations — the whole EU plus the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Turkey, the Western Balkans, Ukraine and Moldova. You install it once and it hands over between networks as you cross borders, with a single data allowance spent wherever you are.
Plans run from $7.50 for 1 GB over 7 days to $57 for 20 GB over 30 days. A two-week multi-city trip usually fits inside 5 GB ($22.50).
When it’s the right choice. One country and you should buy the country plan — Italy at $5.50 and Spain and France at $5 all undercut it. Two countries is roughly break-even. Three or more, or an itinerary that might change, and the regional plan wins on both price and hassle.
The non-EU inclusions matter. The UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Turkey are all covered here. They’re precisely the countries that EU-only roaming bundles exclude, and where travellers get caught out.
The exclusions to know: Monaco and San Marino run their own networks and are not covered by this or by EU roaming. Andorra likewise — it has its own plan. All three are small enough that a phone can pick them up from across a border.

Which countries does the Europe plan cover?
47 destinations, including all of the EU plus the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Turkey, the Western Balkans, Ukraine, Moldova and the small states. Every country page on this site tagged Europe is included — the full list is on this page above the plans.
Is it cheaper than buying country plans?
It depends entirely on how many countries you're visiting. One country: buy the country plan — Italy starts at $5.50 against $7.50 for Europe. Two countries: it's close. Three or more, or any trip where the itinerary might change: the regional plan wins, and it removes the admin of switching profiles at a border.
Which network will I be on?
It varies by country — the profile attaches to a partner network in each one and hands over as you cross borders, the same way roaming has always worked. That means we can't name one operator for the whole plan. In practice you get a major national network in each country rather than a fringe one.
Does it include the UK and Switzerland?
Yes to both, which is worth stating plainly because they are outside the EU and are routinely excluded from EU-only roaming bundles. Norway, Iceland and Turkey are included too.
What about Monaco, San Marino, Andorra and Liechtenstein?
Andorra, Liechtenstein and Vatican City have their own pages on this site and Vatican City works on Italian networks. Monaco and San Marino run independent networks and are the two most likely places for an unexpected roaming charge in Europe — check before you rely on any plan there.
Is 5G included?
Where the local partner network offers it and your handset supports it, yes. Coverage varies by country: excellent in the Nordics, Spain, Italy, Germany and the UK; more limited in the Balkans and Ukraine, where you'll mostly be on 4G/LTE.
How much data do I need for a multi-country trip?
5 GB ($22.50) covers a two-week interrail-style trip with maps, transit apps and messaging. 10 GB ($34.50) if you're posting photos and video daily or hotspotting a laptop. A long weekend across two cities is fine on 3 GB ($15).
Does the data allowance move with me across borders?
Yes. It's one allowance on one profile, spent wherever you are. There's no per-country sub-allocation and nothing to activate when you cross a border.
Will it work on Eurostar, the TGV and the ICE?
Along most high-speed corridors, with dropouts in tunnels — including, unavoidably, the Channel Tunnel. Onboard Wi-Fi covers most intercity services.
Can I tether across all of them?
Yes, hotspot is enabled everywhere the plan works.
Do I need to register anything in any of these countries?
No. Several European countries require ID registration for locally bought SIMs — Spain, Italy, France and Germany among them. A roaming eSIM has no registration step in any of the 47.
