Coverage & network in Seychelles

A Seychelles eSIM installs before you fly and activates on arrival, so the map, the ride-hailing app and your messages all work from the airport — the eSIM attaches to whichever partner network is strongest where you’re standing.

Plans run from $10.50 for 1 GB over 7 days up to $80 for 20 GB over 30 days. Two weeks of navigation, messaging and the occasional video call generally lands around 5 GB.

Where 5G has been rolled out you’ll get it; everywhere else the plan runs on 4G/LTE. Both are far more than maps and messaging need — the difference only shows on large downloads. Tethering is allowed on every Seychelles plan, so a laptop or a travelling companion can share the connection.

Crossing borders on the same trip? The Africa plan covers 39 destinations on one profile from $14.50. Otherwise there are separate plans for Republic of the Congo from $14, Côte d’Ivoire from $11 and DR Congo from $14.

How to install it

  1. 1

    Buy in a minute

Pick a Seychelles plan and pay. Your QR code arrives by email in seconds — no account, no shipping.

  2. 2

    Install on Wi-Fi

Scan the code before you fly. The profile sits alongside your normal SIM and stays switched off until you need it.

  3. 3

    Land connected

Turn on data roaming for the TravelNet line when you arrive. The plan starts counting down on that first connection, not at checkout.

Will my phone work?

You need an eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked phone: an iPhone XS or newer, a Pixel 3 or newer, or a recent Samsung Galaxy S, Z or A-series flagship. Dial *#06# — if an EID number is listed alongside the IMEI, the phone has an eSIM.

See the full compatibility list.

Travelling beyond Seychelles?

One Africa plan covers 39 countries from $14.50 — worth it from the third border.

Seychelles eSIM questions

Which network does the Seychelles eSIM use?

We don't publish a single operator name for Seychelles, because the profile can attach to more than one partner network and pick whichever is strongest where you are. In practice that means you get the best available signal rather than being locked to one operator's weak spots.

Will I get 5G in Seychelles?

Yes, where our partner network has deployed it and your phone supports it. Outside those areas the eSIM falls back to 4G/LTE automatically — you won't need to change any setting.

How much data do I actually need for Seychelles?

As a rough guide: navigation and messaging burn around 100–200 MB a day, social media roughly 500 MB an hour, and video calls about 1 GB an hour. A short trip fits inside the 3 GB plan ($21); a fortnight of heavier use is closer to 10 GB ($48.50).

When does my Seychelles plan start counting down?

When the eSIM first connects to a network in Seychelles, not when you buy it. Install it at home a day or two before you fly — the 1 GB plan then gives you 7 days from arrival and the larger plans 30 days.

Can I use my Seychelles eSIM as a hotspot?

Yes. Tethering is enabled on every Seychelles plan, so you can share the connection with a laptop, a tablet or someone travelling with you. Hotspot data comes out of the same allowance.

Can I keep my own phone number while I'm in Seychelles?

Yes. Nothing is removed from your phone. The Seychelles profile is added as a second line and set as the one used for data, while your usual number keeps receiving calls, texts and bank verification codes. Switch data roaming off on the home line before you fly.

Do I need to register or show a passport to use a Seychelles eSIM?

No. The plan roams on a partner network, so there's no local SIM registration, no ID upload and no shop visit. You buy it, scan the QR code, and it works on arrival.

What happens if I run out of data in Seychelles?

You can top up from the same page — buy another Seychelles plan and it queues behind the current one on the same eSIM profile. There's no need to reinstall anything or scan a second QR code.

I'm also visiting Republic of the Congo and Côte d'Ivoire — do I need separate eSIMs?

Not necessarily. The Africa plan covers 39 destinations including Seychelles on a single profile from $14.50. If Seychelles is the bulk of the trip, a country plan plus a top-up is usually cheaper; if you're crossing several borders, the regional plan wins.

Will my phone work with a Seychelles eSIM?

If it's an iPhone XS or newer, a Pixel 3 or newer, or a recent Samsung Galaxy S, Z or A-series flagship, almost certainly — and it must be carrier-unlocked. Dial *#06# and look for an EID number: if one is listed, the phone has an eSIM. Our compatibility list has the full set.
