Which network does the Namibia eSIM use?
MTC. It is one of Namibia's main mobile networks, so coverage matches what local subscribers get rather than a thin roaming-only footprint.
Will I get 5G in Namibia?
No. Namibia plans run on 4G/LTE, which is what the network covers reliably. For maps, messaging, calls over data and streaming the difference is not something you'll notice.
How much data do I actually need for Namibia?
As a rough guide: navigation and messaging burn around 100–200 MB a day, social media roughly 500 MB an hour, and video calls about 1 GB an hour. A short trip fits inside the 3 GB plan ($26); a fortnight of heavier use is closer to 10 GB ($60).
When does my Namibia plan start counting down?
When the eSIM first connects to a network in Namibia, not when you buy it. Install it at home a day or two before you fly — the 1 GB plan then gives you 7 days from arrival and the larger plans 30 days.
Can I use my Namibia eSIM as a hotspot?

Can I keep my own phone number while I'm in Namibia?
